OUR STORY

HOW DID WE BEGIN?
歴史

Established in 2017, the KENTO Center is a nonprofit organization in Kobe, Japan. The word KENTO stands for Kids’ Education aNd Therapy Overseas, and in Japanese, the word means “smart people.” (賢人) We were founded by the president of a local consulting firm, after his family had a difficult journey finding adequate care in English while in Japan.

We found our building on Rokko Island in 2017, and after some renovations, opened our doors in early 2018. We chose to operate on Rokko Island due to the higher concentration of schools, including international schools.
