All services are individually designed based on each child’s unique strengths and targeted goals. Our certified staff work closely with families to collaboratively shape the focus and direction of services, recognizing that each child may need different types of support.
FOR CHILDREN
Wilson® Reading Instruction
Orton-Gillingham–based structured literacy support for reading and spelling difficulties.
Who this is for
Children who struggle with reading accuracy, spelling, decoding, or written language, including those with dyslexia or those who have not responded to traditional instruction
What sessions focus on
Sessions use a structured approach to build foundational reading and spelling skills, with instruction adjusted to each child’s pace and needs.
What families can expect
Families can expect a clear and consistent approach that helps children build strong reading and spelling skills over time. Instruction is paced to your child, allowing them to develop confidence as they experience success at each step. We also provide guidance on how to support reading at home when appropriate.
Session Fees
30 minutes: ¥6,000 (+ consumption tax)
60 minutes: ¥8,000 (+ consumption tax)
School Psychologist Support
Individual support to help children manage learning, behavioral, and emotional challenges through a developmental lens.
Who this is for
Children experiencing difficulties that affect their learning, behavior, emotional well-being, or school adjustment. This may include challenges with attention, regulation, social skills, emotional stress, learning differences, or diagnosed conditions that impact school life.
What sessions focus on
Sessions may focus on building self-regulation and emotional awareness, developing social and coping skills, supporting school adjustment, and offering a safe space to talk through concerns.
School Psychologist Support
What families can expect
Families can expect collaborative conversations, practical strategies, and thoughtful consideration of the child’s whole context. This service is designed to support social-emotional learning and is not a substitute for clinical therapy or medical treatment.

Occupational Therapy
Supporting daily skills, regulation, and participation in everyday life.
Who this is for
Children who have challenges with motor skills, sensory processing, attention, self-regulation, or everyday tasks.
What sessions focus on
Sessions are individualized and may focus on:
- Sensory processing and regulation
- Fine and gross motor development
- Handwriting and visual–motor skills
- Motor planning and coordination
- Attention, focus, and coping skills
- Supporting independence in daily routines
- Adjusting the school or home environment for success
What families can expect
Occupational therapy is provided through individual, play-based sessions. Therapy focuses on practical, purposeful goals that help children build independence and confidence. Families receive guidance and strategies to support progress across settings.

45 minutes: 8,000 (+ consumption tax)
Psycho-Educational Assessments
A comprehensive evaluation by a U.S certified school psychologist that looks at how a student thinks, learns, and functions across academic, social, emotional, and behavioral areas.
Who this is for
Designed for students when families or schools would like a deeper understanding of how they learn, including their strengths, areas of challenge, and how these may affect learning or daily functioning. These assessments can be helpful when there are ongoing concerns, questions about learning differences, or a need for guidance in planning supports and next steps.
What families can expect
The assessment process takes place over multiple sessions rather than a single day. It includes an initial parent meeting, school observations, scheduled testing sessions, information gathering, and careful report writing. The report will be completed within 30 business days of the final testing session and shared during the feedback meeting. Families receive two printed copies.
KENTO Center cannot provide certain medical diagnoses (such as Autism Spectrum Disorder or ADHD). However, assessments provide meaningful insight into learning needs and practical guidance to support a child’s growth. Please contact us for more information about our assessment process.

Occupational Therapy Observations
A structured observation by a certified occupational therapist that looks at a child’s strengths and needs across motor, sensory, cognitive, and social-emotional areas, with a written report outlining practical recommendations.
Who this is for
Children whose families are exploring occupational therapy and want a better understanding of the child’s motor, sensory, cognitive, and social-emotional development.
What families can expect
The occupational therapist observes the child during a range of activities in a play-based setting. Observations do not use standardized tests.
Following an initial meeting, services include family questionnaires, two 60-minute observation sessions on separate days at the KENTO Center, a written report outlining the child’s strengths, needs, and practical recommendations (two copies provided), and a 30-minute parent review meeting.

FOR FAMILIES
We offer consultation services for caregivers seeking guidance, understanding, or next steps related to their child’s development or learning. These sessions provide space to listen to your family’s unique needs and offer practical strategies related to learning and developmental differences. Sessions are typically 1 hour, with frequency tailored to your family’s goals, challenges, and preferences.

FOR SCHOOLS
We provide collaborative support for schools through targeted consultation, and professional development opportunities. Our work helps educators understand learning and developmental differences and apply practical strategies to support students effectively.
